Wait for idle

A ◌ Wait for idle gate holds the run until the inbound session is not busy, then passes text and session through.

Busy means running (generating) or waiting (blocked on input). live / idle / missing status count as ready.

Injecting or handing off into a session that is still generating is a race. You already see live status in Sessions. This gate polls that same signal so the graph can wait without teaching users to poll by hand.

SettingRole
timeoutHow long to wait (default 60s, hard cap 5m)
on misspark · skip · abort when still busy at timeout
  • park. Splice dock (same UX as approval). Detached needs --approve-all
  • skip. Starve downstream (node idle)
  • abort. Fail the run

Needs an inbound session (session node, or an upstream agent that emitted one). Graph lint hints when none is wired.

Terminal window
threadle run wait-idle-gate

Replace the placeholder session with one from your Sessions list before a real demo.
